ERC considering reliability standards on forced outages

The ERC is considering establishing standards on forced outages of power plants to ensure sufficient power supply in the grid.  Philippine Electricity Market Corp. (PEMC) has asked the ERC, through Grid Management Committee (GMC), to form the standards. According to the PEMC, having standards on forced outages will allow the regulator to measure the number of times power plants tripped and how much power is lost to customers. Read more here.
