The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) on Monday issued a yellow alert for the Luzon Grid from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on 13 June 2016, citing thin reserves on the heels of outages in several power plants.  According to the Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), the alert was issued due to the outage of several power plants: Sual 1, Quezon Power (Philippines) Ltd. Co., Pagbilao 2, Malaya 1, and Limay 6.  Read more here.
