LGUs get P865M from energy resources’ share

THE DEPARTMENT of Budget and Management (DBM) has released P864.723 million to towns and provinces as their share of revenues from taxes levied on the use of natural resources within their jurisdictions.  The amount represents the 40% share of local government units (LGUs) in the proceeds from petroleum, coal, geothermal, hydrothermal, and wind resources totaling P2.158 billion last year, the DBM said.
