First Gen Corp. said a damaged unit of its natural gas-fired Santa Rita plant will resume operations by October following repairs.

The main transformer of Unit 20, which has a nominal capacity of 250MW compared to the facility’s 1,000MW capacity, will be replaced after an inspection found it had damaged components, the power generator told the stock exchange.
